The federally funded 美国救援计划 (HEERF III) provides financial assistance to higher education institutions, 还有学生. 总共  25.07565万亿美元 was awarded to New Mexico State University for financial grants to students to assist with any component of their Cost of Attendance or for emergency cost that arise due to coronavirus. 截至2021年12月31日 $25,075,650 被授予.  There were two rounds of awarding which are detailed below.

Students who were enrolled in at least 1 credit in the Spring or Summer 2021 semesters were eligible to receive these funds. Student had to apply for these funds and the application was open from 7/1/2021 thru 8/23/2021. Following the guidance of the Department of Education, 彩票网站 prioritized all high needs students and the FAFSA was used to determine high need. All students having an EFC in the Pell eligible range (0 - 5711) were identified as high need. Students with an EFC ranging from 0 - 5711 were awarded $800 and students with an EFC that was greater than 5711 received $500. Students with incomplete FAFSA’s and rejected FAFSA’s were reviewed to make an EFC determination. If the EFC could be determined they were awarded based on the guidelines stated previously. If the EFC could not be determined they were awarded $500. Students without a FAFSA received $500.

Following the guidance of the Department of Education, 彩票网站 prioritized all high needs students and the FAFSA was used to determine high need. All students having an EFC in the Pell eligible range (0 - 5846) were identified as high need. Students with an EFC ranging from 0 - 5846 were awarded $1,200 and students with an EFC that was greater than 5846 received $800. Students with incomplete FAFSA’s and rejected FAFSA’s were reviewed to make an EFC determination. If the EFC could be determined they were awarded based on the guidelines stated previously. If the EFC could not be determined they were awarded $800. Students without a FAFSA received $800. Students who demonstrated exceptional need through a professional judgement request were granted additional funding.  

After multiple notices had been sent to the student body and application were no longer being received, 剩下的2美元,522,976分给了14个人,958名申请者中有10名,032 receiving an additional $169 while 4,926人额外获得168美元.
